How to create your shoe fundraiser
Fundraising! The best way to share about the shoes:
For the fundraising aspect of your trip, you’ll need to create a Kindful account. Here are the steps to doing that.
Click on this link: Mexico Fundraiser or Uganda Fundraiser
Click on the “create a fundraiser”
Create the account with the email you used when you completed your application
You’ll be brought to the fundraiser page, click the continue button
Create your goal: This is financial responsibility to the trip, minus the deposit you already made.
Name your fundraiser (This can be your personal name or something fun!)
You can take the time to fill in all the information, a brief description of your mission and why you are fundraising.
For the event date, you’ll want to set it for the week after your trip date. That way it doesn’t accidentally close out on your while you are continuing to bring in funds.
Then, click the “create and continue” button at the bottom of that section.
It will then take you to a page where you can personalize your fundraiser with some color, add a picture to the profile, etc.
Make sure you “save and continue” at the bottom, once again.
The next page allows you to connect your fundraiser to your Twitter or Facebook accounts. This is an excellent and easy way to share so we recommend doing this.
After this, you’ll want to “view your own page” button, and then find the “public page.” This gives you a chance to see what the public view looks like. Additionally, you can save the URL for the page so that you can put it into emails, letters, or communications with your family, friends, and co-workers.
If you need to edit your page again, click back and go to the “edit” page.
That’s it! You are all set and ready to start fundraising!
